Odoo does not sell the Manufacturing module as a separate product. Odoo's Standard and Custom plans both include every app at a single per-user price, so Manufacturing, Quality, Maintenance, PLM and Shop Floor arrive together with Sales, Inventory and Accounting at no additional per-app charge. The costs that actually vary are implementation, In-App Purchase credits, and hosting for custom code — none of which are in the subscription.
The question people actually type is "odoo manufacturing pricing and what's included in the manufacturing module" — and most articles answering it get the premise wrong. There is no Manufacturing line item. Odoo's published pricing lists two paid plans, Standard and Custom, and both state that all apps are included. If you are budgeting for Odoo manufacturing, you are budgeting for users and for the work of configuring it, not for the module.

What is included in the Odoo Manufacturing module?
Odoo's Manufacturing features page groups the capability into four areas. These are the capabilities Odoo documents, not a vendor's paraphrase:

The fourth row is the one that matters commercially. PLM, Quality, Maintenance and Shop Floor are separate apps, not features inside Manufacturing — but because Standard and Custom include all apps, installing them adds no subscription cost. It adds configuration work, which is a different budget line and a much larger one.
How much does Odoo Manufacturing cost?
Odoo publishes three tiers. One App Free covers a single app for unlimited users on Odoo Online. Standard and Custom both include every app, with Custom adding multi-company, Odoo Studio, the external API, and the choice of Odoo Online, Odoo.sh or on-premise hosting. Per-user pricing varies by region and billing term — Odoo's India page currently lists Standard in the region of Rs 580 to Rs 950 per user per month and Custom roughly Rs 1,080 to Rs 1,690, depending on whether you take the monthly or yearly term. Check the live figure for your country before you build a business case; Odoo changes it.
The more useful number is what the subscription leaves out. Odoo states four exclusions in plain terms:
- Hosting on Odoo.sh for custom developments
- Implementation service and access to Odoo expert services
- In-App Purchase credits: SMS, contacts auto-complete, lead generation, and AI to scan vendor bills and expenses
- Maintenance of custom code
That third bullet catches manufacturers repeatedly. Vendor-bill scanning is the feature most finance teams assume comes free because it is visible in the interface. It bills per document against IAP credits. If your plant processes supplier invoices at volume, model that line separately rather than discovering it in month two. The same applies to any Odoo AI feature that calls an external service on your behalf.

What changed for manufacturing in Odoo 19?
Odoo 19's release notes list a focused set of manufacturing changes. Naming them precisely matters, because "Odoo 19 has better manufacturing" is not something you can plan against:
- Manufacturing: default batch size on bills of materials, a highlight-consumption field, BoM overview with work-centre capacity, a Gantt view for manufacturing orders, manufacturing-order UX changes, multiple serial or lot numbers per MO, operation costing, split manufacturing order, subcontracting reception, work-centre employee cost impact, work-order search view, and work-order status.
- Shop Floor: closing manufacturing orders, component moves, a design update, and modifying work-order routing.
- Quality: quality control points now carry a failure location.
- Maintenance: email alias.
Two of these change cost models rather than screens. Operation costing and work-centre employee cost impact move labour out of an assumption and into the manufacturing order, which is the most common gap in a first Odoo manufacturing build. Split manufacturing order and multiple serial or lot numbers per MO matter to anyone running partial batches or mixed lots, which previously meant workarounds.
Where Odoo manufacturing implementations actually go wrong
The failure pattern is rarely the software. Three things account for most of the trouble on manufacturing projects:
Bills of materials get migrated as they exist, not as they should be. A BoM carried over from a spreadsheet inherits every stale component cost in it. Odoo will then calculate production cost faithfully from wrong inputs, and the variance shows up in margin reporting months later, where it is much harder to trace. Rebuild the BoM structure during implementation; do not import it.
Work orders are switched on before the routings are real. Manufacturing orders work with no routing at all, so teams go live on MOs and defer work orders. That is a reasonable phasing choice — but it means work-centre capacity, operation costing and the Shop Floor panel stay inert, and those are often the features the project was justified on. Decide explicitly whether work orders are in phase one, and say so out loud.
Quality and Maintenance are treated as later phases and never happen. Because they cost nothing extra on the subscription, they get scoped as "we'll turn it on afterwards." In practice the control points and maintenance schedules only get built if they are in the original statement of work.
Should you use Odoo for manufacturing at all?
An honest read, including where it does not fit. Odoo manufacturing suits discrete and light process manufacturers who want MRP, inventory, purchasing and accounting in one system and are prepared to configure it. It is a strong fit where the alternative is a spreadsheet plus separate accounting software, and where multi-level BoMs and traceability matter.
It fits less well where you need deep shop-floor scheduling with finite capacity across constrained resources, heavy process-manufacturing recipe management with continuous yields, or a validated environment with formal computer-system validation. How Odoo manufacturing connects to the rest of the stack
Manufacturing is not useful in isolation, and this is where the all-apps-included pricing genuinely pays. Manufacturing orders consume stock through the Inventory app, so lot and serial traceability is continuous from goods-in to finished product without an integration. Operation costing posts to Accounting, so work-in-progress and cost of goods sold reflect actual production rather than a periodic journal. Purchase reorders trigger from the MRP Scheduler's demand, which is what makes the multi-level BoM worth building properly.

Scope that decision deliberately rather than inheriting it.
Do I need Odoo Enterprise for manufacturing?
